Funky Hand Drawn Portrait.

Today I will show you how, in just a few steps, you can use the Artistic effects and a bit of bluring to create a very quick and easy funky portrait.

We will go from this:

To this, in no time!!
First of all, we need to duplicate the background layer as we will need that layer later on.
Then go to Image then Adjustments and select Desaturate. This will change the picture to a nice and smooth black and white tone.
Now, we will force the contours of the picture by using the Levels Adjustment. Click on Image, Adjustments and Levels. Use the following values:
Note that you might have to adjust a bit more, this will depends on the luminosity of your original picture. In any cases, the  right inside value needs to be close from the center value. You should get something like this:
Now, duplicate this layer, and add some Dark Stroke (Filter Then Brush Stroke). Use the following Values:
- Balance:    7
- Black Intensity:    8
- White Intensity:    4
The result should be something like this:
Now duplicate this layer and go to Filter, Artistic and Film Grain. Use the following values:
- Grain:     4
- Highlight:     6
- Intensity:     10
Now add some Gaussean Blur with a value of 50 and set the layer blending to Overlay:
Now the picture is a bit more soft than it was.
Let’s finish it now…
Duplicate the very first layer (original picture) and place it on top of all other layer.
Select that layer.
Go to Filter, Artistic and then Paint Doubs. Don’t change any values, it’s fine as it is.
Change the layer blending to Darkened.
And to finish simply add some Gaussean Blur with a value of 30 and the result should be like this (Click on the picture for the full size):
