Here we will tell you how to make a Ford-car-automobile-logo-idea in photoshop.

[1] Take a new file of 500 pixels,300 pixels, of resolution 72 dpi in the RGB mode.

[2] Now take the Ellptical Marquee Tool create a new shape and fill with Black color.

[3] Go to Blending Option use the following settings.

[5] Now take the Shape Tool and select this one.

[6] Create a shape and fill with Black color.

[7] Go to Blending Option use the following settings.

[9] Take the Text Tool create your text.

[10] Now take the Elliptical Marquee Tool and create a shape fill with White color.

Hey guys this tuto is showing you how to use really cool colors on your images, in my case I created a poster with a good mix of typo and very strong colors. It’s a mix of simple techniques and a lot of style to bring your work to a new level, follow the tuto and have fun!

My version is not the same it has a bit of my style into it and I will show you step by step how I did it.

First things first, what I had in mind was to find a good portrait to start with, if you look for stock photos like I did on this case, a really good place is DeviantArt Stock, and there I found this photo:

The Photo is from katanaz-stock. Make sure you check it out, got some great photos there.

So I open the photo on Photoshop and the first step is to select the background, create a new layer and paint it yellow.

Now I am going to duplicate the background layer and on the top one I will apply Image > Adjustment > Threshold in this case I applied a level 60 and the result you get should be like this.

Now with the Magic Wand Tool select the black part of the layer and paint it dark purple, invert the selection and delete the white part of the layer, and set the layer mode to Hue.

On the background layer go to Image > Adjustment > Hue/Saturation ( Hue: 186 | Saturation: 71 | Lightness: -38) you result should be like this:

Now we got to a point that I wanted with the colors so I will go to Layers > Flatten Image that way the 3 layers will merge into only one image. To make the image look brighter I will go to Image > Adjustments > Shadow/Highlights (Shadow: 50% | Highlight: 0%)

Now we are done with the photo lets start working with the typo to fill out the blank spaces and give some style to the posters.

Using the font cow.cow (size 36) with the color yellow I wrote “Sexy colors look sexy together”.

Now with the same font but this time in red I will write abduzeedo and place it at the top, I select the yellow background and apply a layer mask to the abduzeedo text layer to give a better contrast between the photo and the typo.

To pass a better message trough the image I select the Custom Shape Tool and get one of the talk bubbles that already comes with Photoshop and create a decent size talk bubble using the color red.

Inside the bubble I wrote; “Inspiration for your mind” in white using the font Can Can de Bois. I selected both layers and rotated a little bit to the side so everything won’t look so square.

To make it look even better and give and awesome contrast I hold ctrl and click on the text layer then I press ctrl+shift+i to invert the selection, I go to the bubble layer and ad a layer mask that way the text area will be a hole on the bubble. For a better contrast I reduce the text layer Opacity to 60%.

I got to a point that where I really like what I’ve done but I still need to give a last touch to it so I will use a brush to give a little style to the image.

I create a new layer and using the brush set from angryblue I start playing around adding some yellow paint in the area where I got the yellow typo.

And the final touch using the same brush set I add a little paint spots using the color red around the typo abudzeedo on the top keeping the same background contrast using the same layer mask as the typo.

Here is the final result:

So let’s get started with making a document with these dimensions.

Quite big I think and the print parameters are 300 DPI. I recommend you to have at least 2 Gb or Ram to work fast with such large documents.

Create a new layer and overlay it with simple liner style black to white gradient.

Tnx to layer modes in Photoshop you can create quite interesting effects. For example I’ve created a new layer, overlaid it with black to white gradient, only this time round and set the layer mode to Color Burn.

Now I can control certain areas, filling it with smooth gradation of black to white. You should try it.

Next step: Vinyl I did find some final references, mostly to find out the pattern of music lines on the vinyl.

.. And this is how I recreated them in Photoshop: Take’ a rounded area, create a new layer.

Fill the area with black.

Make a smaller selection right in the center to paint some sort of graphics.

I’m using torn edge brushes for this, very abstract and fast: Basically a color tweak.

Leave the selection on all the time. Paste some text there.

Next step: vinyl pattern. I figured out how to this fast while looking once again on the vinyl.

Here are the gradient settings first. Here is the gradient itself – as you can see I’m using noise gradient.

De-saturate the layer leaving it without colors but with pattern that we need.

Lower the opacity.

It really seams painted like – I want to drop some shadows and lighting.

Here is the shadow line- where our shadow will be.

I also made a copy of vinyl pattern – so it is more intensive now.

Drop a mask on this layer.

Choose this gradient with settings below.

Use this gradient to hide the part of the pattern making it darker.

A little tweak – make a selection ( or a path ) – make work patch out of it ( or don’t ) – choose type tool and type the letters on the circle.

Select the circle ( the one that is in the center ) – and apply a small gradient tweak – for more colors.

Next step: Complex lighting.

I have discovered a very good way to lightened up the 2d surfaces. It was quite easy – I’ve just used lighter ( white this time ) gradients on a top layer.

More to that I’m going to decorate my lightened surface with this: I’m using basic round rough brush.

Those who are lucky to have a tablet will get better result I think. Just erase.

I recommend you to save this brush as a New Brush Preset – it will be saved with settings too. We will also need this brush to paint with.

Create a new layer chose this brush – (your saved brush) – choose white color – lower that opacity to about 80% and paint some of these dots.

Some black maybe too (on a new layer).

Opacity to the layer that has back spots is very low – represents shadows.

Next step: lighting technique.

Oh yeah almost forgot about the whole in the center. Make a new layer and tap just once with black color brush.

And I sake of realism – just apply inner shadow. I’ve also applied noise filter to the color circle in the center so it might feel real- like paper.

See how lights came out well.

All the purple layers are the foreground (2d) lights.

And this is basically it: oh yeah here is my text part done in illustrator – if you watch it carefully you can make it. Basically type is involved here.

Create a  3 Layer Tech Border Signature in Photoshop, No brushes Required

Select the Polygon Lasso Tool located under this icon . Press Ctrl + Shift + i to invert it then fill it with #CCCCCC. I left this out because i’ve made the 1 and 2 layer tech borders for a different web designing place. Due to it having their logo on it i didnt think it was a good idea to put it on here.

In this free tutorial we will show you how to quickly and easily create this picture that could be used as a wallpaper, web banner, flyer.

Start working by creating a new file (File>New) of 1280×1024 px and 72 dpi. Using the Paint Bucket Tool (G), fill the new file with black color.

Next find in Internet a picture with a car, cutting it out and inserting it on our basic picture. Use Edit > Transform > Flip Horizontal

Set the next demonstrated parameters for the car’s layer by making a mouse click on this layer on the layers’ palette. Blending Options>Drop Shadow

Make a mouse click on the bottom part of the layers’ palette on the next selection – Create new fill or adjustment layer>Levels

Press Alt button while making a click between the car’s layers and the Levels effect’s layer (on the layers’ palette).

Download a set of ready to use brushes for Adobe Photoshop, named: 61Particlesandstars, ASTRACT_MEGA_PACK_BRUSHES, Japanese_Foliage.
Create a new layer and choose for it a brush out of the set, entitled 61Particlesandstars. The brush’s color in this case is #C9A568. This layer needs to be placed lower than the layer containing the car:

Create a new layer and use here the brush we’ve recently used, changing its parameter this time on Opacity of 40%. This layer will be placed also lower than the car’s layer:

Now we’ll try to make several rays, using the Pen Tool (P). This layer will be placed lower than the car’s layer, but above all the other ones:

On the next new layer (Create new layer) we’ll apply the brushes out of the set ASTRACT_MEGA_PACK_BRUSHES. This layer will be placed also lower than the car’s layer. The brushes’ color is #D55100.

Next we’ll create a new layer again, using here the brushes out of the set Japanese_Foliage. The brushes’ layer will be placed lower than the car’s layer. The brush will be turned over with Free Transform option:

The brush’s color is #FBAF5D

Choose the parameters from below for the last made layer: Blending mode-Linear Dodge

Create a new layer and use here the brushes out of the set Japanese_Foliage

The brushes have white color and this layer will be placed lower than the car’s layer:

These are the parameters for the last created layer: Blending Options>Inner Glow

Create a new layer that will be situated lower than the brushes’ layer containing the flowers. Using a standard brush, we can paint out the flowers:

Create a new layer again and use for it the brush out of the downloaded set, named 61Particlesandstars. The brush’s color is #FC6210
