Adding a Nose Ring

In this tutorial, we will learn to create a nose ring and add it to a person’s nose inside of a photograph. This tutorial is useful for learning how to create 3D objects from scratch and intergrating them with real life photos.

Step-By-Step:

1. Open in Photoshop the photograph of the person’s photo that is clearly displaying the nose.
2. Name the layer with the photograph “Nose”.

Realistic tattoo tutorial on human skin!

tutorial_tatoo_intro_oliengnet
I’ve decided to create a more realistic tutorial on how to apply a tattoo on human skin and make it look realistic. I’ve seen several tutorials on creating this same effect around the web yet it doesn’t look that realistic, the tattoo needs to look like it’s actually wrapping and embedded on the skin while keeping the quality and highlights of the tattoo.

Create a Robotic Angel using Lineart and Textures

If you’re anything like me, some of the fondest memories you may have as a child are the times spent with building blocks. Those tiny locks of plastic or wood could be a fuselage on a jet airplane one day and a castle’s gateway the next – they were limitless. They allowed you to start from the ground up in creating anything your imagination allowed.

Prince of Persia tutorial

Start off by creating a new canvas, mine is 340×110, and fill it with a not so dark nor bright color, a bit grayish. Im using this color: “#777272”. Take the BURN tool and brush abit on the sides. It’ll look like this:

Now place your render in the canvas, I’m using the one of Prince of Persia provided at the bottom of this page.
Take out the smudge tool and use these settings:

Copy your render a couple of times and smudge using those settings. Don’t oversmudge it, the other parts will be covered later. Repeat this step untill the whole background is covered, you can move your copies of the render to the sides if you don’t reach all the background it by only doing this. Set all layers to color dodge. My result:

Doesn’t look really sexy huh :S, well… move a unedited copy of your render to the top, leave it like it is.
Now move another copy of your render to the top and smudge only al little bit. Just try to get one “splash”, set to pinlight, my result:

Now add an Gradient map, go to layer -> adjustments layer -> Gradient Map. Click on the gradient and choose a black to white gradient.
Now make a new layer and fill it with black, set it to softlight, now take out a softbrush at 100% opacity and brush where the render was, try to make a cool lighting effect. Result:

Now go create a new layer and go to image -> apply image. Then go to filter -> blur Gaussian blur and set it to 1,0 pixels, now grab an eraser and erase the parts that you don’t want to be blurry. Result:

Now, go to layer -> new adjustments layer -> photofilter, use this setting:

Now add another photofilter:

Now go to layer -> new adjustments layer -> gradient map and use this:

Set it to softlight at opacity of 30%.

It has a warm feeling now

Now apply image again (image -> apply image) and go to filter -> distort -> ocean ripple. Set it to overlay at around 20% and Ctrl + click the thumbnail of the backup of your render. You’ll get a selection of your render. Press delete to delete it out of the rippled area. Result:

No shocking changes but imo it gave a little more depth.

Well J now you’re pretty much done with it J I hope you enjoyed reading this tutorial J
